Northern Italian is now available on Market Square in Downtown Knoxville. The opening of Bella Luna expands the menu offerings on Market
Square beyond Asian and Mexican to Italian. Bella Luna is anchored by a newly built bar in the front right side of the restaurant. There is a
sitting/waiting area on the front left side of the restaurant. The accoustics of this restaurant is loud and on top of that, there is a staging area
in the back. Although we have not been present for a performance, it must be loud. Our Lunch Crew found limited offerings for lunch. We
were told by management that the lunch menu was very limited to provide quick service for lunch patrons. The dining room seems make-
shift. Plenty of tables down the left wall, no plants, no atmosphere, no booths. Maybe as time passes the decor will grow as management
declares, we are here to stay. This restaurant has a strong following, no doubt attributed to a presence on Facebook and the need to
succeed.
On our lunch visit, we found the restaurant to be busy, not over-whelmed, quick service with excellent iced tea, sweetened or
un-sweetened, the flavor was very good! Our Crew ordered the Panini Porchetta and was confused as to whether it was Chicken or Pork, but
I was clean and delicious, served with a green salad with cranberries and pecans for $8.00. The meal was great and no complaints filed except
we all had room for dessert which we fulfilled at Cafe 4’s Bakery. The proprietor at Bella Luna assures us that the evening meal is more fulfilling
and authentic Northern Italian Cuisine is the norm of the restaurant. The proprietor insists that as much as possible, the menu is based on the
availability of locally produced meat and vegetables is a priority and the restaurant will operate on a green level.
