| The Bistro is one of the
few remaining full-service upscale restaurants in downtown. The Bistro
is located immediately next to the Bijou Theatre. The atmosphere
is a bit upscale, something you might expect to find downtown in a larger
city. While offering a wide range of food, the menu is relatively
simple.
Many restaurants in town proclaim they have the best burger, the Bistro does not. However, after you have tried one of the burgers, you will probably agree that it is one of the best in Knoxville. One favorite is the Black & Bleu which is topped off with real bleu cheese. The Bistro is one of the busier eateries in downtown and at peak times, it may be hard to get a seat. Service is fair, but when you have someone from the wait staff at your table, be sure to get what you need, with just a few workers, the staff is spread thin. Once you place your order, your food arrives timely. The Bistro is not your typical downtown eatery. The restaurant offers full bar service with happy hour after work and a full Saturday Brunch. Being located next to the Theatre, it would be convenient for your next trip to the Bijou. |
