Calhoun's is "Home of America's Best Ribs", or so the slogan goes. This is the true taste of East Tennessee and if you visit the area, your visit won't be complete until you try one or more of the Calhoun's locations. The menus and atmosphere varies slightly at each of the locations. The 6515 Kingston Pike location is a Brewpub, the atmosphere is a little louder and the crowd is a little younger. The 400 Neyland Drive location is on the river and a gathering place for downtown workers, city visitors, and Volunteer Fans. The Original location is located at 10020 Kingston Pike. The BBQ is great here, but there are a lot of other things on the menu that are just as good. Calhoun's recognizes the St. Mary's Health Plan, so there are things to choose from that are lower in fat and are healthier. Be sure to try some of the white chili or the Southern Fried Chicken Salad. The biscuits, cornbread, and garlic breadsticks generally accompany every meal. Hit the bar for a good drink selection and friendly atmosphere.
Calhoun's has showed indications that prices are going up and quality is going down. Established as a casual upscale restaurant, the recent switch to plastic dinnerware and drink tumblers is unfitting. Recent reviews in the Knoxville News Sentinel have also indicated that the local chain has shown a decline in quality and value. Although the portions are smaller the restaurant has some tasty offerings unique to Tennessee.

**STARTERS**
White Chili Homemade with chicken, white beans and cilantro. Topped with Monterey Jack cheese. Served with salsa, tortilla chips and sour cream.
Hot Beer Cheese Dip Hot white cheese dip served with tortilla chips.
Onion Loaf An onion lovers dream. Thinly sliced fresh onions breaded and deep fried to perfection. Half or whole loaf available.
Hot Soft Pretzels Five large warms pretzels with mustard sauce.
Bar-B-Quesadillas Chicken quesadillas with Anaheim, jalapeno, and red roasted peppers with creamy Gouda cheese. Half or full size available.
Spinach Artichoke Dip Our creamy dip made with spinach, artichoke hearts and two kinds of cheeses. Served hot with tortilla chips, sour cream and salsa.
Hot Fingers Fried chicken fingers tossed with our distinctive wing sauce flavored with Thunder Road beer. Served with bleu cheese and celery sticks.
Buffalo Shrimp A pile of golden fried shrimp served with our wing sauce and bleu cheese dressing.
Buffalo Wings One lb. of fried chicken wings tossed in our spicy wing sauce.
Fried Mozzarella Wisconsin Mozzarella cheese sticks, with seasoned bread crumbs and parmesan cheese, fried and served with our homemade Italian tomato sauce.

Served with your choice of Creamy Country Slaw, Smoky Mountain Beans or French Fries. Baked potato, Spinach Maria or Fresh Broccoli can be substituted for .95. Our 8oz. burgers are made fresh daily with lean, fresh ground USDA choice beef. Grilled to medium-well unless otherwise requested. Add bacon for only .050.
