One thing about Cracker Barrel is that the food is great! If you like southern cooking, you are going to love CB. However, when you get your plate, you will probably see more plate than food. Hey, they realized this, they raised the prices and and put less on your plate. No need to complain, they know it! All you'll get is a quick smile and a sneer. Cracker Barrel has become so popular, you can get good food anywhere in the south. The service here is not good at all, it is slow, and if you dont like other people sitting with you, don't eat here. Not that they are at your table--but they are less than an arms length away.

From pinto beans and cornbread, to chefs salad, to roast beef and mashed potatoes, CB has it all. Believe me, opt for the cornbread, the biscuits must be frozen or something, 'cause anybody can make 'em better then CB. Desserts are good and there is always plenty of room for them after your meal.

At peak hours, expect to wait in line or browse the old country store, often the wait is quick until you get inside, you have to wait more for your food. I can say that CB has a good breakfast, everything from pancakes, waffles, to country cured ham. Visit often, but don't come with a BIG appetite, choose another place.
