The Barbecue Wars seem to be heating up in Knoxville with the entry of yet another BBQ themed restaurant. Famous Dave's offers a casual and comfortable atmosphere with plenty of booths and tables with a separate dining area for smokers and non-smokers. Most meals are served in a basket styled dish. On the table you will find 6 different barbecue sauces to suit any ones taste. Rich & Sassy, which is the mildly spiced; Sweet & Zesty, sweet with a little zest; Hot & Sassy, adding a little more heat to your tongue; Texas Pit, spicy with a south of the border flavor; Georgia Mustard, a mustard and vinegar base; and Devil's Spit, the hottest and meanest of them all.

It's getting hard to decide whose ribs are the best. FD has some mighty good ribs but it's just not complete without some of the Texas Brisket and a shot of bbq sauce. If you enjoy eating at Buddy's, you're going to like the next level up and thats Famous Dave's.
