The American Cafe (always known locally as Silver Spoon) is owned and operated
by Specialty Restaurant Group, which has had little success in operating
it's restaurants (other than Silver Spoon) in East Tennessee. Silver
Spoon has always had an exceptional variety of menu items. However,
bothered with the bottom line, prices are high and quality has suffered.
The last visit to the American Cafe displayed unattentive staff, poorly groomed/dressed wait staff, slow service (at a non-peak hour) and lower quality food products. In short, there are a lot of other restaurants that serve higher quality food and maintain a higher standard when it comes to hiring their staff. Look down the road before entering the doors at Silver Spoon (The American Cafe) because there is something better around the corner! Not recommended, even for our worst enemies. |
