SILVER SPOON - THE AMERICAN CAFE
After being
ousted at the Gallery Shopping Center in West
Knoxville, Specialty Dining secured the former
Carino's Italian Restaurant location on Lovell Road
as their new Flagship location for Silver
Spoon. It appeared as if the location was
doing
a moderate business but the location was secured for
non-payment of taxes. A recent check of the
property showed the location to be closed for
business. It is unclear if the chain will be
revived or allowed to just disappear. All
other locations have since closed. Specialty
Dining was born through a partnership of Ruby
Tuesday executives. |
DOODLES BBQ BISTRO OPENS IN HARDIN
VALLEY
Another locally owned
Bistro style restaurant has opened in Hardin
Valley. The restaurant serves up hickory
smoked pork, chicken, spare ribs, burgers, and
wings. |
Uncle
Maddio's Pizza Joint Selects Northshore Town Center
Uncle Maddio's
will open a new location, as promised, in Knoxville
at Northshore Town Center. Uncle Maddio's
allows you to select your favorite fresh ingredients
or one of their signature pies to take n bake or the
restaurant will cook it and serve it in house.
It takes about six minutes of cooking time for your
pizza. Using high quality ingredients, salads
are also on the menu. OPENING

CHEESECAKE
FACTORY UNDERWAY AT WEST TOWN MALL
The most highly anticipated restaurant of
the past 15 years for Knoxville is presently under
construction at West Town Mall. A recent press
release indicated a Spring or June 2013 opening.
The average size of a Cheesecake Factory Restaurant is
8700 sq. ft. At last check, the West Town Mall
location had dropped below 7600 sq. ft. While
7600 represents the address at West Town Mall, it may
very well represent a major mistake in reducing the
size of a restaurant that will be highly
attended. We predict that this will be the
hardest restaurant to get into for at least the first
couple of years. The downsizing of the
restaurant is sure to cause massive congestion.
It is possible to consider that the small restaurant
size may impact the success of the restaurant.
NO ONE SHOULD WAIT MORE THAN 10 to 15 minutes on a
table and it appears as if Cheesecake Factory will
exploit that wait list. Years and years of
periodic rumors can be laid to rest with the opening
of the Knoxville Cheesecake Factory. Stay tuned
