Well the Texas Roadhouse chain has been around a few years now. At first, it was a complete copy of Logan’s Roadhouse, but over time
has emerged to separate their differences. Both are close to being the same restaurant with subtle differences. Texas Roadhouse has been
much more successful in the Knoxville area than Logan’s, whereas Logan’s has been much more successful in the Chattanooga area. Texas
Roadhouse has tested different attitudes in Knoxville, such as having a lunch menu, then realizing the corporate way of doing business is to
be open after 4pm. That didn’t play out well in Knoxville. The chain reintroduced a lunch menu shortly after closing it down.
In the door, you are greeted with peanuts, throw the shells in a pail or if you must, on the floor. Past the host stand you are greeted with an
open window to the kitchen grill. Around the cedar paneled booths and tables, off to be seated with warm yeast rolls and cinnamon
butter along with a pail of peanuts. Among the menu items, a sirloin can be just as good as a New York Strip. It depends on what you like.
We have found most meals here to be rather consistent. We were impressed with ribs where the meat falls off the bone. To date, nothing to
complain about. Texas Roadhouse has the ability to satisfy your steakhouse cravings.
